Public transport in the city of Gdansk The administrator of public transport in Gdansk is ZTM Gdansk (The Municipal Transport Management Board in Gdańsk). The ZTM network includes tram lines, bus lines and sea-connection boat services known as ”Ferry Trams”. Markings of ZTM lines: 1xx, 2xx, 3xx, 5xx ordinary 6xx seasonal Tx substitute for tram B, C, E express Nx night x, xx tram Fx Ferry Tram TABLE OF RATES On trams and buses, time rates apply which enable an unrestricted number of connections within the time provided on a given ticket (except tickets for one line). When calculating the length of journeys, the travel times given on timetables at the stops are helpful.
The ticket for one line ride is available for sale from July 1st, 2008. TICKETS • A one-time time ticket is valid from the moment of punching it (day, hour and minute, vehicle number are printed by the ticket puncher) for a time specified for its tariff value. • A one-time ticket for one line is valid from the moment of punching it (day, hour and minute, vehicle number are printed by the ticket puncher) to the moment of leaving the vehicle by a person using this ticket. • 24 hour group half-price tickets entitle to a joint ride of an organised group counting up to 10 persons, including 1 person without the right to the half-price ticket and 9 persons with the rights to half-price rides. • The charge for a ride at the time of 24 hours may be provided exclusively on the basis of the ticket with a special imprint „Bilet 24-godzinny” [All-day ticket]. • The 24 hour tickets may be combined in order to obtain an all-day normal ticket. Apart from this, the half-price tickets for one line may be combined in order to obtain the full price ticket for one line. In the case of the lack of one-time time tickets with at a face-value relevant to the intended time of a ride, it is possible to punch several tickets at lower face-value, whose total value will not be lower than the required one. The condition for regarding the payment made as valid is punching the tickets during the same minute or during the two consecutive minutes. • The period of validity of a one-time time ticket is subject to prolongation by the time of a break in traffic caused by objective circumstances (e.g. failure, accident, congestion). • After an expiry of the time of validity of one-time time ticket, the passenger has a right to continue the ride to the closest stop. It is not allowed to create other time frames than the ones specified in the tariff, by selecting the tickets at different face-value, and a ride of a few passengers using one ticket, excluding the one-time all-day group ticket.
WHERE YOU CAN BUY TICKETS Tickets can be bought at news kiosks and ZTM Customer Service Points. In vehicle you can only buy One-time ticket and all-day ticket on tender of exact change. Ticket inspections are conducted by ZW Renoma Ltd whose authorized ticket inspectors carry identity cards. On request, a passenger must show a valid ticket and relevant document certifying the entitlement to any half-price fare. TRAVELLING TO THE AIRPORT The Lech Walesa Airport in Rebiechowo may be reached by public transport. Passengers may use B Line services (route: Orunia Goscinna Dworzec PKP Wrzeszcz Port Lotniczy) and Line 110 services (Wrzeszcz PKP Port Lotniczy Wrzeszcz PKP) as well as selected routes of N3 night buses.
