Single fare ZTM tickets price list valid as of 1 June  2012:

Single journey tickets entitle the bearer to a single journey on one bus or one tram only. These tickets are valid from the time of validation until leaving the vehicle. The tickets should be validated immediately on boarding the vehicle.
Time tickets – depending on their nominal value - entitle to many journeys during 1 hour or 24 hours with as many changes as required. During the first journey the ticket should be validated immediately on boarding the vehicle. From this time on, the ticket is valid for the time indicated by its nominal value.

Attention! Ticket prices for fast services (marked with the letter "A") and night services (marked with the letter "N" and a number, e.g. N0, N1) are higher than those on regular services.
Children up to the age of 4 and senior citizens over the age of 70 are entitled to free fares. Free fares apply to passengers who hold a valid passport or any other document with a photograph which confirms the age and identity of the passenger.

Reduced fares apply to:
1.  Children and young people up to the age of 16 who are not Polish citizens.
     Reduced fares apply to passengers who hold a valid passport or any other
     document with a photograph which confirms the age and identity of the passenger.
2.  Students of foreign universities up to the age of 26. Reduced fares apply
     to students who hold a valid European Youth Card – EURO 26 STUDENT or the
     International Student Identity Card (ISIC) issued outside Poland.
3.  Students studying at Polish colleges. Reduced fares apply to students who
     hold a valid student card issued by these colleges.

MZKZG metropolitan ticket, Tourist Card, and PolishPass also entitle the bearer to use the public transport in Gdańsk.
All single fare tickets are bearer tickets.

Single fare tickets may be purchased:
1.  In ticket vending machines. The list of ticket machines and their locations
     is available here
2.  In numerous kiosks situated in the city
3.  Directly from bus and tram drivers. Passengers may purchase a single fare ticket
     (only 1 hour and 24 hours tickets) from the vehicle driver only when the vehicle is stationary,
     at a bus or a tram stop. Passengers shall have the exact amount of money in order to buy
     tickets as change will not be issued by the driver. The ticket shall be immediately validated
     at the nearest ticket validator available on-board. A validated ticket is the only evidence of
     the paid fare.

ZTM tickets are valid:

1.    on all tram services in Gdańsk
2.    on bus services in Gdańsk and local districts (e.g. Sopot). Such buses are red and white
3.    on services shared with Gdynia, that is services number: 171, 510, G, N1
4.    24 hour tickets are valid on all bus and trolleybus services in Sopot

ZTM tickets are NOT valid:
1.  on trains
2.  on regional bus services, numbers: 50, 400-499, 800-899
3.  on ZKM blue buses and trolleybuses in Gdynia
     (except for the services shared with ZTM Gdańsk, numbers: 171, 510, G, N1)
     and in MZK Wejherowo buses.

The 24 hour and 72 hour metropolitan tickets entitle the bearer to use trains and public transport in both Gdańsk and Gdynia.
