City Card


City Card City Card is an electronic card, which can store a season ticket selected by the holder, and is valid in Gdańsk public transport. Depending on the needs of the buyer, a personal or bearer Card is available. The Card is only a carrier of the ticket and does not constitute the ticket itself, and therefore doesn’t entitle to use public transport, unless it has a valid ticket encoded.
E-ticket does not have to be validated. It is verified by the ticket inspector with a reader.
The technical validity of the City Card is 10 years. The validity can be checked at any recharge point and in all automated ticket machines. Card prolongation is free of charge and can be performed at all card recharge points, while recharging the ticket for the next period. In case of recharging the City Card in an automated ticket machine, ZTM recommends to periodically check (once a year) the technical condition of the card by recharging it at the recharge point.


Bearer City Card can be purchased at ZTM Customer Service Points after paying 10 PLN as a deposit:

Bearer City Cards can be recharged in all e-ticket sales points, but only with the bearer season tickets.

In order to get a personal City Card, you have to submit a City Card Application. It can be submitted via Internet or in person at one of the points designated for Personal City Card Application collection. Regardless of the application submission method, the City Card can be used in public transport after recharging it with an appropriate ticket.

A. It is recommended to submit the application via Internet. The card preparation time will be shorter than in case of the application submitted personally at the collection point. To submit the application:

a) download the application form from our website, fill it in, and submit City Card Application on-line:
- attach a photo in .jpg format, size: 3,28 cm high (387 pixels) x 2,62 cm wide (309 pixels), 300 dpi, max 100kB (other format may cause picture deformation on the printed card),
- enter the address of permanent residence,
- chose the point in which you want to collect the card,
- read "Instrukcja obsługi karty miejskiej i elektronicznej legitymacji studenckiej" (City Card and electronic student card manual),
- agree for processing of your personal data.

b) transfer 10 PLN to ZTM account – deposit for the card,

The card is ready for the applicant to collect at the point of his choice, not later than on the fifth working day after the date when the due deposit is credited to ZTM bank account.

B. The application can also be submitted at one of the points listed below. To submit the application personally:
- fill in and submit the application at the chosen point,
- or print the application downloaded from our website, fill it in, and submit at the chosen point,
- attach a photo,
- pay 10 PLN deposit.
The card is ready for the applicant to collect at the same point in which the application was submitted, not later than 10 days after the application submission.

Before leaving the ticket office, always check the cash register receipt for the ticket type, scope, and expiry date to immediately correct potential errors. After leaving the ticket office, all complaints will be handled only on presenting of the cash register receipt at ZTM Customer Service Points:
